Golden Jubilee Celebration of Excellence

Julien Day School, Ganganagar, celebrated a historic milestone on 7th February, 2026 with the inauguration and blessing of its new school building, marking fifty years of its journey from 1976 to 2026. The programme, held from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., was a memorable occasion for students, teachers, management, alumni and guests.

The ceremony commenced with a brief welcome and call to order by Mr. Terence John, Director of Education and Development, Julien Day Schools, followed by a processional hymn that set a solemn and dignified tone for the evening. It was followed by a special service for the inauguration of the school’s Golden Jubilee celebration. The recessional hymn and benediction were delivered by The Most Revd. Dr. Paritosh Canning, Moderator, Church of North India and Bishop of Calcutta.

A significant moment of the evening was the unveiling of the Golden Jubilee plaque by The Most Revd. Dr. Paritosh Canning, followed by the blessing of the Golden Jubilee Building, led by The Most Revd. Dr. Paritosh Canning along with Fr. Moloy D’Costa, Vicar General, Fr. Dominic Gomes, Chancellor and P.R.O. and Rev. Asa Kiran Parichha, Associate Presbyter, St. Paul’s Cathedral. The blessing symbolised gratitude for the past and hope for the future of the institution.

The second part of the programme began with the felicitation of the clergy by Mrs. S.E. Broughton, Managing Trustee, Mr. J. G. Broughton, Chairman of the School, Mr. Joshua Broughton, Vice- Chairman and Ms. Jessica Broughton, Head of Digital Marketing. Their gesture was in tune with the appreciation for the guidance and blessings bestowed by the clergy. The programme also featured music and dance performances by the students which added colour and liveliness to the celebrations.

The School Captain, Swapnil Roy, then delivered an enlightening address highlighting the history and growth of the school from its establishment in 1976 to the present day. His speech reflected the pride and sense of belonging felt by students as part of an institution with a rich legacy.
The celebrations continued with the release of the Golden Jubilee Brochure by The Most Revd. Dr. Paritosh Canning; Fr. Moloy D’Costa, Fr. Dominic Gomes, Rev. Asa Kiran Parichha, Mrs. S. E. Broughton, Mr. J. G. Broughton, Mr. Joshua G. Broughton and Miss Jessica Evelyn Broughton. The release was followed by the display of a special commemorative cover envelope, specially curated by the GPO Kolkata.
A video presentation showcasing the school’s journey over the years evoked nostalgia among teachers and alumni. The programme concluded with High Tea, bringing the auspicious celebrations to a warm and memorable closure. The event stood as a proud tribute to Julien Day School, Ganganagar and it’s fifty years of excellence and its continued commitment to shaping future generations.
